Conditions

  • The current course can be joined at any time, provided there are places available. 

  • The course fee must be paid before the first course date.

  • Participation in the course can be terminated at the end of each quintal without incurring any further costs.

Aim

The aim of this course is a long-term preparation for the entrance exam to Langgymnasium. The longer time horizon gives the teachers the opportunity to lay a good foundation in all areas relevant to the exam and to work with the students individually on their gaps.

Program

Exam preparation (August 2025 - Februar 2026)

Phase 1 (4 months)

  • Systematic development/repetition and consolidation of all exam-relevant basic skills

  • Individualised revision of knowledge gaps and uncertainties

  • A wide range of practice exercises based on the exam material or the content of the basic skills 

  • 1 comprehensive placement test

Phase 2 (2 months)

  • Mock exams

  • Targeted consolidation of examination tasks

  • Exam-related psychological preparation

  • Exam organisation 

  • 1 complete simulation exam

Exam material  

Numbers and variables

  • Use mathematical terms and symbols correctly (e.g. summand, divisor, denominator, fraction)

  • Calculate with natural numbers up to 1 million and decimals

  • Represent fractions with simple denominators and decimals

  • Safely apply basic operations with natural numbers

  • Expand and reduce fractions and combine them with natural numbers

  • Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals

  • Practising rounding natural numbers and decimals

  • Calculating with decimal numbers in accordance with the calculation rules

  • Apply divisibility rules and find divisors/multiples

  • Recognising and describing mathematical patterns

Geometry and spatial reasoning

  • Using basic geometric terms and symbols correctly

  • Work with figures, lines and points (draw, measure, construct)

  • Naming, sketching and describing geometric solids

  • Reflect, rotate, enlarge, reduce and combine shapes

  • Calculate the perimeter and area of rectangles

  • Calculate the volume of cuboids

  • Assemble figures and solids from views

  • Representing solids in oblique and side views

  • Recognising and drawing networks of cubes and cuboids

  • Estimate and measure angles and work with compasses/geo-triangles

  • Working with coordinate systems and grids

Measurement, functions, and data 

  • Identify, apply and convert units of measurement (e.g. length, time, area and space)

  • Understand and use data, diagrams and mean values
